**He Is Risen**

*What Changes Now*

*Easter Sunday — Discipleship in the Light*

The silence is broken.

The waiting has ended.

The stone is moved.

The tomb is empty.

And the message is simple:

**He is not here. He is risen.**

**1\. This Was Not Expected**

Even those closest to Jesus did not expect this.

They came:

- to mourn
- to tend to what was finished
- to honor what they thought was over

Resurrection was not on their minds.

Which makes this moment even more powerful.

This is not wishful thinking.

This is interruption.

**2\. Resurrection Changes the Direction of Everything**

Good Friday looked like an ending.

Final.

Definitive.

Unavoidable.

But Easter reveals something deeper:

What looked final… wasn’t.

What looked lost… wasn’t.

What looked like defeat… wasn’t.

The direction of the story has changed.

**3\. The World Is Not What It Seems**

Resurrection is not just about Jesus.

It is about reality.

It tells us:

- death is not ultimate
- loss is not final
- suffering is not the end
- silence is not absence

Everything we thought was permanent is now redefined.

Hope is no longer fragile.

It is grounded.

**4\. Discipleship Looks Different Now**

Everything we’ve walked through:

- letting go
- trusting
- giving
- staying
- waiting

It all leads here.

Not to prove discipline.

But to prepare us to recognize this moment.

Discipleship is not just about endurance.

It is about living in light of resurrection.

**5\. Resurrection Is Not Loud**

It didn’t happen in front of crowds.

No spectacle.

No announcement.

No public display.

It was discovered quietly.

And that matters.

Because resurrection still works that way.

Not always loud.

Not always obvious.

But real.

**6\. A Practice for Easter Sunday**

Today, don’t rush.

Sit with the words:

**“He is risen.”**

Not as information.

As reality.

Then ask:

**“What in my life feels finished that may not be?”**

Let that question stay open.

**The Invitation**

Easter does not erase the cross.

It transforms it.

It does not remove suffering.

It redefines it.

It does not promise immediate answers.

It promises ultimate hope.

The story is not over.

And because of that:

Your story is not over either.
