# The Day After Resurrection

*What Changes on Monday* 
*April 6 — Easter Week | Discipleship in Real Life*

Yesterday was unmistakable.

The tomb was empty.  
Hope broke through.  
The story turned.

And for a moment, everything felt clear.

But now it’s Monday.

The emails return.  
The routines resume.  
The responsibilities are waiting.

And the question becomes:

**What does resurrection look like in ordinary life?**

**1\. Resurrection Does Not Remove Reality**

The resurrection did not eliminate:

- work
- responsibility
- tension
- uncertainty

The disciples still had questions.  
Still had fear.  
Still had to figure out how to live differently.

Resurrection does not replace reality.

It redefines it.

**2\. The First Days Were Quiet**

After the resurrection, everything didn’t change instantly.

There was no immediate clarity.  
No full understanding.  
No organized plan.

There were:

- conversations
- confusion
- moments of recognition
- gradual realization

Resurrection unfolded slowly.

Just like it does in us.

**3\. We Expect Instant Transformation**

We often assume Easter should produce immediate change.

Clarity.  
Confidence.  
Certainty.

But discipleship rarely works that way.

Transformation is:

- gradual
- relational
- unfolding

You don’t wake up Monday fully formed.

You wake up invited.

**4\. Resurrection Changes How You Walk, Not Where You Stand**

Your circumstances may look the same.

But something underneath has shifted.

You now walk:

- with hope instead of finality
- with trust instead of fear
- with openness instead of resignation

Nothing visible may have changed.

But everything essential has.

**5\. The Work Is to Carry It Forward**

Easter is not just a moment to celebrate.

It is a reality to carry.

Into:

- conversations
- decisions
- routines
- work
- relationships

The resurrection becomes real when it enters the ordinary.

**6\. A Practice for April 6**

Today, ask yourself:

**“What would it look like to live as if resurrection is true?”**

Not in theory.

In one decision.  
One interaction.  
One moment.

Then take that step.

**The Invitation**

April 6 reminds us that Easter is not behind us.

It is before us.

Not something we leave in the celebration.

Something we carry into Monday.

Resurrection does not change everything all at once.

But it changes how everything is lived.

And that is where discipleship begins again.

Monday through Saturday.

Right where you are.
